Fingerprint examination consists of numerous steps, including detection, enhancement, comparison, and evaluation. Fingerprints are regarded as one of the most reliable types of evidence in criminal investigations due to their uniqueness and longevity. The existence of a suspect's fingerprint at a crime scene can be critical evidence in court, helping to secure convictions or exonerate innocent people.
