Ms. Deepa Verma joined as an Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, Grade-I a Govt. Examiner of Questioned Documents, MHA, Govt. of India, at Shimla (Now part of CFSL, Chandigarh). She was there from 19.02.1990 to 31.07.1996. Later in 1996, she joined FSL, Govt. of NCT of Delhi as a Senior Scientific officer and then promoted to Assistant Director then Deputy Director and in 2017 She took over the charge of laboratory and become Director. She had overall technical Supervision as TM (Doc.) as per NABL certification and Administrative work as HOD (Doc.) including the establishment of Computer Forensic Unit. In addition to her routine assignment, she had worked as APIO in RTI Act and other miscellaneous duties i.e. supervising the Computer Forensic and fingerprint unit, imparting training: a member of review/re-examination committee constituted by DFSS as well as FSL Haryana for review of already examined cases; chairperson of purchase committee; Nodal officer IT project; Chairperson to an internal committee supporting Director FSL and Discharge of various administrative and professional duties, etc. Apart from aforesaid responsibilities she was Link officer of HOO, FSL, In-Charge RFSL Bindapur, Dwarka, Delhi, Member as well as Chairperson to various preliminary Enquiry Committee/s. In her guidance laboratory, has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per standard of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and NABL 113:2008. One great achievement of the Delhi laboratory under her supervision that FSL Delhi Notified as Examiner of Electronic Evidence by Ministry of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India under Section 79 A of the IT Act. In a brief, she has more than 30 years of experience in the Forensic discipline.
