Dr. Manoj Kumar Verma is currently working as Senior Scientific Assistant in the Division of Chemistry, Forensic Science Laboratory, Lucknow,  Uttar Pradesh, India, since year 2010. Earlier, he has worked as Assistant Professor as well as Head, Department of Chemistry at the National Post-Graduate College, Lucknow University, Lucknow, India. He has obtained his Ph.D. (Chemistry, Area Medicinal Chemistry/Heterocyclic Chemistry), Postgraduate degree (Master of Science in Organic Chemistry) and Graduation (Bachelor’s in science in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology) from Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow, Lucknow, India. He has an experience of more than 8 years in forensic science research and academics. He has been involved in different areas of Forensic Science namely Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Serology, Physics, Anthropology, Questioned Documents, Fingerprints and DNA. His research work was focused on development of novel ecofriendly synthetic methodologies for design Biologically Active Compounds like Antifungal, Antibacterial and Anticancer agents. He has research papers in the various field which includes Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry (Narcotics Drug like Heroin, Morphine, Hemp Products, Benzodiazepines etc, Liquor, Petroleum Products) Forensic toxicology. Presently, his area of research interest involved in investigation of new reaction pathway in organic synthesis and development of new synthetic as biologically active compounds & drugs as well as development of new chemical/ instrumental technique for the qualitative/quantitative estimation of Forensic Narcotics Drug, Petroleum Products, Liquor etc. He had Attained/poster/oral in various Seminars & Conferences National & International, life member of 1 society, and member of editorial of more than 10 International/national journals. His research interest includes Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Forensic Science; Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Forensic chemistry, Petroleum Products, Instrumentations, Forensic Toxicology, Explosive analysis, Forensic Medicine, Drug facilitated sexual assaults, Forensic Serology/ Biology, Forensic Anthropology, and Forensic DNA.
