Dr. Neelam Arya

Dr. Neelam Arya is currently working as Senior Scientific Officer and In-charge of Mobile Forensic Unit at Forensic Science Laboratory, Haryana. She has attended and given opinions in more than 5,000 scenes of crime. She remained a member of SIT in several criminal cases, which were investigated by various investigating agencies including the crime branch. She did Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology, master’s in Botany and Master of Computer Applications. In addition to this, she also did LLB, an advanced PG Diploma in Information Technology and a Certificate Course in Digital Forensics. She has delivered numerous Lectures on Forensic Science and scene of crime, at Police Academy, Judicial Academy and several other Institutions. She was invited as Keynote and Guest Lecturer by various Universities and Academies. She has participated and presented papers in more than 75 International/ National conferences / symposiums / Colloquium etc. She has been awarded with Iron Lady Award (May 2017), Empowered Women Award (Dec 2017), Rashtriya Swarnim Hind Award (Jan 2018) and Women Achievers Award (Jan 2018). She has attended numerous Trainings, Seminars, Workshops and Conferences at University, National and International level. She has published more than 85 publications in International and National Journals, Magazines and Proceedings. In addition, she has authored numerous Articles published in the prestigious National Newsletter, published by Haryana Police Academy and a chapter on Scene of Crime, in Handbook of Forensic Sciences, published by Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Chandigarh. She has also contributed to case work and case studies, for Manual of Forensic Sciences for investigation, SOP, by National Institute of Forensic Sciences and Criminology, Rohini, Delhi.
