Human Dentition has been unique in itself and so the bite marks. Bite marks are often considered as a valuable alternative to fingerprinting and DNA identification in forensic examinations. Its analysis is unquestionably the most difficult, and contentious work undertaken by forensic odontologists. It is very important to have quality evidence of good probative value which could confidently be presented in a Court of Law. Major changes have been noticed in the approach and philosophy surrounding bite mark analysis since the arrival of digital technology and computer imaging software.
He discussed the classification, characteristics, mechanism of production, and appearance of bite mark injuries, collection of evidence, comparison techniques, and technical aids in the analysis of the bite marks.
